Indigenous Knowledge Keeper
Boorroo Spirit is a Walbunja Wawarrawarri woman of the Dhurga and Dharug language groups, with Wiradjuri and Darkinjung bloodlines, whose work is grounded in deep relationship with Country, ancestry and community. She carries cultural knowledge shaped through ceremony, healing, justice and collective care, offering presence that honours lineage, responsibility and the ongoing work of creation and repair for future generations.
Warami Ngaya Boorroo, I’m a proud Walbunja Wawarrawarri Woman of the Dhurga & Dharug language speaking groups of the Sydney and Far South East Coast, NSW, Australia areas. I also have Wiradjuri & Darkinoong bloodlines
Through my parents I’m a mixed bag of nationalities, through my Father I am an Originee Woman of this country, as well as Irish, English, German and Alsatian (Alsace Lorraine), Cornish, Scottish, Welsh, French, Dutch, Swedish, Hawaiian, Maori, Nigerian, Ivory Coast, Ghanaian, Central West African, and through my Mother, I am Scottish, Irish, English, Welsh, Orkney, Swedish, Danish and Gutes (Gotland).
I started off my work life in the Community Services field, in Juvenile Justice doing Mediation, then in the [ab]Original sector doing Disability and Carers Support and then onto [ab]Original Circle Sentencing and Cell Support.
I have been a part of, and conducted many Sacred Circles and Ceremonies, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, as my Heart and Soul are for Healing & Creation, for Mother Earth, Family and Community.
I was born with many of my gifts, but also hold Knowledge and Wisdom that have been handed down through the generations of my Ancient Ancestors, I am a Spirit and Medicine Woman with a deep Connection to Country and my Ancestors. Over the years I have walked deeper in my Culture, being part of Song and Dance, Welcomes and Smoking Ceremonies, Traditional Healing, teaching Traditional Weaving, and Artist.
I am also the Soul Finder of W.O.M.B. - Women Of Mixed Bloodlines, United Women’s Tribal Council, a Council established for Healing The Ghosts Of History, Treaty, Creation & Peace amongst the Nations, and for the Future of the Planet and the next 7 Generations.
And in finishing, although I have been many things, to many people, my proudest titles are that of Mum & Grannie to my 2 kids & and grandkids.
