Kids Camp (Ages 3–10)
Kids Camp offers a nature-based day camp for children aged 3–10, held during adult Educator Sessions at Wise Women Gathering.
While carers attend sessions, children spend their time outdoors in a relaxed, rhythmic space shaped by play, creativity and connection with the land. Kids Camp is designed to feel steady and welcoming, supporting imagination, movement and belonging while honouring each child’s pace.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance. All children aged 3+ must be registered to attend the Conference, whether or not they attend Kids Camp.
How Kids Camp works
Kids Camp runs only during adult Educator Sessions.
Opens 15 minutes before sessions begin
Children are collected within 15 minutes after sessions finish
Carers are responsible for children at all other times
Children are welcome to attend panels, Educator Sessions and evening activities with their carer, provided they are able to remain quiet and respectful of the space.
An open house on Friday morning is mandatory, allowing children and carers to meet the facilitators and settle into the space before the Opening Ceremony.
Kids Camp runs from Friday morning through Sunday midday, during adult Educator Sessions only.
What children do in Kids Camp
Days unfold organically, guided by weather, energy and curiosity.
Activities may include:
Plant walks and nature exploration
Creative crafts and making
Herbal-inspired play and simple medicine-making
Story time, songs and games
Bush wanders, treasure hunts and free play
The mud pit (yes, really)
Free play is a central part of the camp, supporting imagination, sensory exploration and social connection.
Facilitators
Kids Camp is supported by Aswini and Belinda, experienced childcare facilitators who bring warmth, playfulness and grounded care to the space.
All facilitators hold Working With Children Checks and current First Aid certification.
Practical details
Meals and snacks are included with your child’s registration
Registration closes in the first week of May, or when places are filled
Facilitators will contact carers by email a few weeks before the Gathering
Children aged 3–10 must be enrolled in Kids Camp.
Girls aged 11+ attend the Maidens Circle.
