This 90-minute workshop is inspired by the research of Dr. Daniela Sieff, whose work on the Death Mother archetype explores maternal ambivalence, abandonment, and societal expectations of motherhood.
Drawing from Sieff’s research, as well as Jungian psychology, mythology, and evolutionary theory, this session is designed to offer a deeper understanding of the Death Mother archetype in our individual and collective experiences.
The workshop is in a sacred circle format, promoting open discussion and shared reflection. Participants will engage in storytelling, group discussions, and a ceremonial process to explore the archetype.. Sharing with others will be encouraged, but each person is invited to go only as deep as feels comfortable and appropriate. The goal is to foster understanding and reflection.
A ceremonial offering process will allow participants to symbolically honour the Death Mother archetype, while reflecting on its presence in collective and individual experiences. The circle will close with an integration ritual, bringing together the collective wisdom gained during the session.
This session is ideal for those seeking to learn about archetypal energies and cultural patterns, with a focus on education, community connection, and reflection.
