Tina Marie Pizel-Sheil
Celebrant / Performer / Songstress
Tina Marie works through ritual, story and song, specialising in sacred singing at life’s thresholds and moments of transition. Her practice is shaped by cultural anthropology, ancestral lineage and regenerative living, holding sound as a way to tend connection between self, community, Country and the unseen.
Tina Marie is a ritualist, cultural anthropologist, storyteller and sacred singer. Specialising in “death lullabies”, she sings gentle songs of comfort to those crossing over and at life’s thresholds.
As a community and creative facilitator, she is committed to fostering connection - connection to self, to country, to community and the divine. The concept of Regenerative Living (the “interconnectedness” of all things) plays an important role in guiding her current work, which includes exploration through sound & music, ancestor, hybrid cultural identities, installation work, comedy, performance and improvised play. She is a strong contributor to her community through arts, environment and community justice.
Her spiritual practice is informed by her cultural lineage, which is Maltese/Italian/Anglo/Celtic/Germanic. She has spent many years exploring different spiritual practices and belief systems, some from her bloodline and others from spiritline. She has a strong connection to the prehistoric Goddess culture of Malta and is a proud eclectic witch. As a maga woman, she is honoured to be sharing her gifts with others, embracing her purpose, stepping into her power, and transitioning into the eldering yet to come.
