Sar Friedman

Therapist / Body Worker / Women’s Mysteries Facilitator

Sar Friedman is a somatic therapist, bodyworker and women's mysteries facilitator with 15+ years’ experience in nervous system repair and embodied healing. She weaves psychotherapy, ritual, and shamanic womancraft to guide women in reclaiming their vitality, truth, and wild feminine power.

Sar Friedman is a Sydney-based somatic therapist, counsellor and artist whose work explores the meeting place of psyche and soma, a process she calls embodied living. With over fifteen years’ experience, her practice integrates somatic awareness, movement, touch, process-oriented psychotherapy and feminine wisdom through a trauma-informed, interdisciplinary lens.

Sar’s path into somatic therapy emerged from her own longing to fully inhabit her body, after realising she had lived for many years as more than a “floating head.” Early training in remedial massage and yoga, alongside a lifelong engagement with creativity and emotional expression, led her to experience the body as a portal to memory, unconscious material and transformation. She is a graduate of Nature Care College and holds advanced training in womb and pelvic-based therapies, shamanic womancraft and holistic counselling.

Her sessions are layered and responsive, grounded in deep listening and may include movement, breath, somatic dialogue, touch and ritual. Sar is known for guiding people gently to the edges of habitual patterns with care and precision. Her work is also shaped by systems theory, earth-based practice and embodied cognition, supporting people to return home to the intelligence of the body and the wider web of life.
