Sally Kingsford-Smith

Herbalist / Reiki Master

Sally works as a herbalist and reiki practitioner, carrying elder wisdom shaped through decades of clinical practice, teaching and lived experience. Her work is devoted to continuing the legacy of Australian herbal lineages, encouraging discernment, simplicity and respect in the use of plant medicine, and sharing this knowledge with care through mentoring, education and community gathering.

Sally Kingsford-Smith is a herbalist and reiki practitioner in her crone years, for whom sharing the wisdom gained through life and practice is deeply important. Wise Women Gathering holds a significant place in her work and story.

When WWG was first born, Sally was honoured to be invited as a keynote speaker and presenter. Accepting this invitation drew her out of the familiar safety of her clinic and into a visible elder teaching role. Since then, Sally and Wise Women Gathering have grown and evolved together, and she returns each year with gratitude to share her love of herbs and tissue salts.

She holds deep respect for her teacher, Dorothy Hall, Australia’s matriarch of herbal medicine, and is committed to continuing her legacy for present and future herbalists. Sally is equally passionate about encouraging practitioners to use less and use wisely. She carries this ethic through her teaching at WWG, mentoring roles, work with Estuary Learning, public speaking and the online courses she has developed, always weaving her clinical and life experience into her work.
